In these terms and conditions ´The Seller´ means Hair & Beauty Depot and ´The Buyer´ means the purchaser of goods from ´The Seller´ under these terms and conditions.

Trade Only

Hair & Beauty Depot is a trade only supplier. By purchasing products from us you are confirming that you are a qualified Hairdresser, Beauty Therapist or Nail Technician, and as such are competent in using the products sold on this website. We will not be held responsible for any injury or damages incurred by users of the products we sell. We reserve the right to ask for proof of professional status and to refuse to fulfil an order if we believe the person ordering is not a trade customer. As a business user, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured for products that you are using.


  1. Prices are subject to alteration without prior notice.
  2. All prices are exclusive of VAT at ruling rates and delivery costs.
  3. We take all reasonable care to ensure that the prices of goods are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. However, as our site contains a large number of products, it is always possible that, despite our reasonable efforts, some of the goods on our site may be incorrectly priced.
  4. If we discover an error in the price of the goods you have ordered, we will inform you of this error and we will give you the option of continuing to purchase the goods at the correct price or cancelling your order. We will not accept and process your order until we have your instructions. If we are unable to contact you using the contact details you provided during the order process, we will treat the order as cancelled and notify you in writing. Please note that if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mispricing, we do not have to provide the goods to you at the incorrect price. We will at times discover that goods have been incorrectly priced after the goods have been dispatched and therefore cannot give the option of cancelling the order.

VAT Free Promotions

VAT free discount is available only on special promotion days as displayed on our homepage. Items are subject to availability and while stocks last. Delivery charges are exempt from all VAT Free events.

VAT Free Sale Terms and Conditions

Our VAT Free equivalent sale means the total payable is the pre-VAT total of the merchandise. You will still be charged VAT, but the total amount you pay is as if we had not charged it. For example, if a product costs £10.00 +VAT the total you pay is £12.00. When we have a VAT Free Sale, we discount the price down to £8.33 +VAT so the total you pay is £10.00, which is the same as the original price, but without the VAT. 

Subject to a £20+VAT minimum spend. VAT Free discount does not apply to the delivery charge and will not be applied to products already subject to a price reduction or discount. Some products may be excluded from the offer.

Tax and Other Charges

We charge UK VAT at 20% and Ireland VAT at 23% on all orders. All local customs, excise, value added and import taxes are your responsibility and we will not pay these charges.

In addition, we will not be responsible for any costs, fines, taxes or duties incurred as a result of goods being seized outside the United Kingdom. We will not provide any refunds or credit notes in these circumstances.


  1. You can only pay for items purchased using a debit card or credit card. We accept Visa and MasterCard.
  2. Cash with order customers – payment is due in full at the time of order unless a credit account is held.
  3. Customers with a credit account – payment is due in full, 7/15/.30 days from the date of invoice. Further orders will not be despatched while a balance is outstanding. Hair & Beauty Depot reserves the right to alter or amend credit charges, to withdraw credit, to accept or reject orders, to refuse applications, or with prior notice, to close an account.
  4. Special order items require a 50% deposit at the time of placing the order. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance must be paid prior to despatch. Alterations or cancellations for special order items cannot be accepted.
  5. Any cancelled or returned cheques issued to Hair & Beauty Depot will be subject to a £25 (per returned cheque) administration fee chargeable to the customer.

Offers and Discounts

  1. Special offers are subject to availability and may change without notice.
  2. Offers are not to be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount unless specified.
  3. Offers are only available to UK mainland customers unless specified.
  4. Our system will automatically calculate the best possible price based on the quantity added to your basket and while stocks last. Normal terms and conditions apply.
  5. Offer valid once per customer. 
  6. Free delivery cannot be used in conjunction with any offer, unless otherwise stated.
  7. Please note, next day delivery cannot be guaranteed when using this offer code.

Overdue Accounts

After 40 days, a surcharge of 4% of the gross amount will be levied on a daily basis.

For orders under £50, delivery will be charged at £4.95 based on a 2-3 days service.
If the order total at checkout is less than £50 after any discount is applied, you will not qualify for free delivery.

Please note that in some circumstances the delivery surcharge may need to be increased for large and/or bulky items. You will be informed of this before your order is dispatched.

Delivery Time

We aim to deliver orders within 1-3 working days (over 95% of orders are dispatched within this time frame) however, stock availability can affect this. Furniture and equipment orders are normally delivered within 2 - 4 weeks, however some items may take up to 6 weeks. You’ll be advised of the estimated delivery date shortly after your order is placed.

Please note: Goods cannot be delivered during weekends or public holidays and these do not count as working days.

Delivery time above is from the date of dispatch (transit time only). All delivery dates are quoted in good faith and we cannot accept liability for any expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or late deliveries.

Next Day Delivery

Applies to UK Mainland orders placed before 3pm (GMT/BST) Monday to Friday, subject to stock availability and any security checks. Excludes Rural Scotland. Delivery to other areas, including Highlands, Islands and Republic of Ireland, may take up to two working days. Orders containing items that are not stocked by us or sent directly from our suppliers such as salon furniture and equipment will not be eligible for this service. Such items will usually state 'special order' before you add them to the basket.

Orders placed before 3pm on a Friday will be out for delivery on Monday. If Monday is a bank holiday then the order will be out for delivery on Tuesday. We accept no responsibility for late, missed or non-delivered orders as these are carried out by a courier company on our behalf.

Please note: This service does not apply during promotional periods, following a bank holiday weekend or during the Christmas & New Year period. During these times, we will endeavour to get your order to you on the next working day but this may not be possible due to the large amount of orders we receive.


When purchasing goods for delivery outside the United Kingdom you may be subjected to import duties and taxes which are levied once the goods reach the specified destination. You are also liable for any additional customs clearance charges, we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. If you are ordering goods for delivery outside the United Kingdom it is your responsibility to comply with all laws and regulations of the countries the goods will travel through and where delivery is to be made.

Force Majeure

The company shall be entitled to cancel or delay delivery of orders if it is delayed, hindered or prevented from delivery through circumstances beyond its control. Such circumstances shall include (but are not limited to) industrial action, accident, fire, terrorism, Act of God or failure to deliver by suppliers or carriers.


Prior to despatch, non-standard items such as furniture/special order items, cannot be cancelled. Cancellation after despatch cannot be accepted.

Once you have submitted your order you cannot amend or edit your order including changing the delivery address. Therefore please check all of the information you have supplied to us is correct and that you are happy with your order before you submit it and proceed for payment.


Claims for loss or damage to goods in transit cannot be accepted unless we are advised within 48 hours of receipt of goods in the case of damage. We will have the goods returned to us and pay the cost of the return shipping if we are informed within the 48 hours. We are must be informed in writing within 14 days of the date of invoice in the case of loss. We will not entertain claims made outside the stated time limits and any loss or damage will be deemed to have occurred after delivery to you.

Your Online Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. If you believe that your password has become known to anyone else, you must inform us immediately.

Hair & Beauty Depot reserves the right to refuse service, access to the website, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion.

When goods have been ordered in error or are not as expected, the Company may agree to their return on the following conditions:

  1. A request must be made to the Company within 7 days of receipt of goods.
  2. The item must be in perfect condition and returned in original packaging carton.
  3. The customer must pay for the return postage and ensure that the returned goods are adequately packed to avoid damage in transit.
  4. If you are unable to send goods back to us, we may arrange a collection; however, the cost will be deducted from any refund due. Collections usually cost around £15+VAT, you may need to pay in advance if the refund due does not cover this. The original delivery charge cannot be refunded.
  5. Any refunds given for returned goods will be subject to a handling charge of £5.00 per item/order, or 10% of the value, whichever is the greater. No refunds will be made in respect of delivery charges levied on the original order.
  6. The appropriate reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation.
  7. Please ensure a copy of your invoice/receipt accompanies the return. We strongly recommend that proof of posting/despatch and appropriate insurance are obtained by the customer. We cannot accept liability for lost or damaged goods in transit to us. If products are damaged by you and subsequently returned, no refund will be made.
  8. We refund you on the credit card or debit card used by you to pay.

Faulty or incorrectly delivered goods:

  1. We take great care to ensure all goods you receive are correct and undamaged. However, in rare cases where incorrect or damaged goods are received please inform us within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Any faulty goods returned within 30 days of purchase with minimal wear and accompanied by a proof of purchase will be exchanged for an identical item or refund. Any faulty goods returned more than 30 days of purchase maybe sent for repair or replaced or refunded at our discretion. Where a fault or the cause of a fault is not apparent we reserve the right to send the item for testing before deciding on any action to be taken. This should take no longer than 10 working days, depending on the item.

Special Orders:

Refunds on special ordered items cannot be given unless there is a manufacturing defect or the goods are not as ordered.


Return does not apply in the case of:

  1. Any custom-made or special order products (including furniture and equipment).
  2. Any product which has a security seal which you have opened or unsealed.
  3. Goods returned not in original packaging and in poor condition.
  4. Any product which, for hygiene purposes, cannot be returned which includes:
    1. cosmetics;
    2. hairbrushes and combs;
    3. hair extensions and hair pieces;
    4. body jewellery, earrings or piercing tools;
    5. foot spas;
    6. scissors and blades;
    7. manicure/pedicure tools

This list is not exhaustive and does not affect your statutory rights.

Product Availability

All products are subject to stock availability. If we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by you we may, at our option, send a carefully selected substitute, alternatively, any sum debited to your credit card will be re-credited to your account and we will notify you by e-mail at the address given by you in your registration form. The refund will be made as soon as possible after such notification and in any event within 30 of receipt of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.


This guarantee shall not apply to damage caused through fire, accident, misuse, fair wear and tear, neglect, or any attempt at repair or adjustment other than by our Service Department.

Some of the Products we sell to you come with a manufacturer's guarantee. For details of the applicable terms and conditions, please refer to the manufacturer's guarantee provided with the Products. Failure to comply with the warranty conditions will invalidate your ability to rely upon the guarantee.

Any faulty items which are still under the manufacturer's warranty must be reported and sent back for inspection before a refund or replacement can be issued. All glass items are specifically excluded from this guarantee. Where a claim on guarantee is made, it must be accompanied by the original receipt of purchase.

Retention of Title

  1. The risk in all goods passes to the Buyer upon delivery but title in the goods remains vested in Seller, and shall only pass from the Seller to the Buyer upon full payment being made of all sums due on whatsoever account or grounds to the Seller.
  2. The Buyer agrees that prior to the payment of the whole price of the goods, the Seller, or appointed agents may enter the Buyer’s premises to collect such goods should the Seller request. Prior to such payment, the Buyer shall keep the goods separate and identifiable for this purpose, and shall return the goods to the Seller should the Seller request.

Ownership of Goods

We will retain ownership of the goods you order until we receive full payment for the order including any applicable delivery charges. Once the goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

  7. The Seller and Buyer do not intend that any of these terms and conditions shall be enforceable by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any person other than the Seller and Buyer or any company within the Seller’s group of companies.
  8. The Seller may assign its rights under these terms and conditions. The Buyer has no reciprocal rights of assignment.
  9. Any dispute or claim shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the Seller and Buyer agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
